The Bathroom Remodel Problem Unspoken Of

Get Free Estimate
Bathrooms are the one room where the material you chose shows up every single day.
01

Grout That Won't Come Clean

You scrub it, it looks better for a week, it goes gray again. That's not you doing it wrong — that's what porous grout does in a wet room.
02

Sealing You Forgot To Do

Tile grout and natural stone need resealing on a schedule nobody keeps. Miss it and water starts getting places it shouldn't.
03

A Vanity That's Seen Better Days

Chipped laminate, a dated drop-in basin, a surface that stains from a dropped hair product. The first thing you look at every morning.

Imperium Masterworks has fabricated solid surface and remodeled Denver kitchens and baths for 35+ years — long enough to know exactly what makes home owners nervous about hiring a contractor.
We're fabricators first. That means we're specific about what we handle ourselves — and honest about what we don't.

Build Tile Showers

Maintenance

Tile puts a porous grout line every few inches across every square foot of wall. Solid surface goes up in large panels with silicone in the corners only, and it's why one stays clean and the other doesn't.

Grout Lines

Grout needs sealing, then resealing, then eventually regrouting. Natural stone tile needs sealing too. Solid surface is non-porous — you clean it, and that's the entire maintenance schedule for the life of the shower.

Damage & Lifetime

A cracked tile or failed grout line usually means cutting into the wall. Solid surface is the same material all the way through, so scratches and marks sand out on site. The lifespan of solid surface is 30+ years.

Half The Install Time

Tile is three to five days of setting, curing, and grouting. Solid surface panels are cut to size in our shop and installed in one to two days. Your bathroom comes back faster.

Grout-Free Shower Walls

Full-height panels instead of hundreds of tiles. Nothing between them to scrub.

Integrated Vanity Basins

Basin and counter formed as one piece. No rim, no seam, nothing to catch around.

Custom Shower Pans

Curbless entry, sloped to drain, fabricated to your exact opening.

Recessed Niches & Benches

A continuous ledge and apron built to the tub you chose, not to a standard size.

Bathroom Remodeling
Questions

01

How much does a bathroom remodel cost in Denver?

Full gut remodels in Denver run $20,000 to $35,000 mid-range, largely because licensed plumbing and electrical account for 40 to 50 percent of that budget. Our surface work — shower walls, vanity, surrounds — typically runs $10,000 to $28,000 depending on scope, without the plumbing relocation.

02

Is a solid surface shower better than tile?

For maintenance, yes, clearly. Tile puts porous grout across every square foot of wall, which needs sealing and eventually regrouting. Solid surface panels are non-porous with silicone only at the corners. Tile offers more design variety — if you want an intricate patterned shower, tile is the right choice. If you want a shower you clean rather than maintain, solid surface wins.

03

How long does a shower remodel take?

Solid surface panel installation typically takes one to two days, compared to three tofive for a tiled shower. Add fabrication time in our shop beforehand - 2-3 weeks. You'll have a written timeline before we start.

04

Do solid surface showers get moldy?

The material itself is non-porous, so mold has no surface to grow into — unlike grout, which is porous and holds moisture. The silicone corner joints should be cleaned like any wet-room surface, but there's no grout line running across the walls to stay damp.

05

Do you handle plumbing for bathroom projects?

No. We fabricate and install surfaces — shower walls, vanity tops, surrounds, and built-ins. Plumbing and electrical are handled by your own licensed trades, and we schedule around them. If your project needs the layout changed, we'll tell you on the first call.

01

How involved will I be during the design and construction process?

As much as you want. You get one project manager for the whole job and scheduled weekly updates, not just a call when something's wrong.

02

Do you handle both design and construction?

Yes. Our own team designs, fabricates, and installs. Nothing is subcontracted out or handed off between companies.

03

Can you work with an existing design or concept?

Yes. If you already have a layout or design in mind, we'll build to it, or adjust it together during your consultation.

04

How long does a kitchen or bathroom remodel actually take?

It depends on scope — a full kitchen remodel takes longer than a countertop replacement alone. We'll give you a real written timeline for your specific project.

05

Do I need a permit for my remodel?

Permit requirements depend on your project and city — typically required if plumbing or electrical work is involved.
