The Part Of Your Kitchen Remodel You Touch

Cabinets get the attention. Countertops get the wear.
01

Dated Surfaces

Honey oak and laminate from the original build. Everything else in the house has been updated except the one surface you use most.
02

Constant Upkeep

Granite that needs resealing every year. Grout lines that never look clean no matter what you scrub them with.
03

Damage that won't come out

A crack, a burn, a stain that set. With stone, that usually means replacement. It doesn't have to be that way.

Imperium Masterworks has fabricated solid surface and remodeled Denver kitchens and baths for 35+ years — long enough to know exactly what makes home owners nervous about hiring a contractor.
We're fabricators first. That means we're specific about what we handle ourselves — and honest about what we don't.

Never needs sealing

Granite has to be resealed every year or two, and it stains when you skip it. Solid surface is non-porous all the way through, not coated on top. There's no upkeep schedule and nothing that gets worse the longer you own it.
02

Damage sands out

Scratch a stone counter and it's permanent. Crack one and you're buying a new slab. Solid surface is the same material all the way down, so scratches and burn marks sandout on site and the surface looks new again. We do that repair work ourselves.
03

Nothing soaks in

Wine, coffee, oil, standing water — none of it penetrates. Because the surface is non-porous, it won't absorb moisture or support mold growth the way grout lines and unsealed stone will. It's the practical choice for a kitchen gets used every day.
Most remodelers install whatever countertop you pick. We fabricate one material ourselves, in our own shop — and we chose it on purpose.

"
We had our kitchen redone with new cabinets and appliances. We also had just finished painting so we wanted countertops to match, and to last longer than our old laminate ones, and Imperium came through and helped us choose the perfect option. The new tops fit perfectly and matches the new look of the space! Very happy with how everything looks!
- Jason & Maria, Lakewood CO

Working with Imperium was a great experience, from choosing materials based on our preferences to clear updates, it was a quick and easy process. We love our new countertops! TY

"
We had Imperium remodel our kitchen back in the 2003 at our old house, and we were so satified with the quality of the work and the long lasting material, we reached out to them for another remodel job. The entire kitchen in our new home has been completely transformed, and we are happy we made the right choice! Pricing was clear from the start, timelines were straightforward, and the whole process was seamless!

Kitchen Remodeling
Questions

01

How much does a kitchen countertop replacement cost in Denver?

5000-10K. That covers fabrication, templating, and installation. Removal of your existing countertops is quoted separately based on material. Full gut kitchen remodels in Denver typically run $45,000 to $85,000 — a countertop and surface project is considerably less.

02

How long does a kitchen countertop project take?

2-3 weeks. Typically that's one visit to template, fabrication time in our shop, and one install day. You'll have a written timeline before we start. This can change if the scope of the project changes or hidden issues are revealed during installation or teardown.

03

Do you do full kitchen remodels with plumbing and electrical?

We handle fabrication, countertops, surfaces, and cabinetry coordination. Plumbing and electrical are handled by your own licensed trades, and we schedule around them. If your project needs significant structural or mechanical work, we'll tell you on the first call.

04

Do I need a permit to replace kitchen countertops?

Countertop replacement on its own typically doesn't require a permit. If your project involves moving plumbing or electrical, it usually does. Permits are the homeowner's responsibility, and Denver-area permits generally run $250 to $800. We're happy to advise on what your project needs.

05

Can I use my kitchen during the project?

Mostly, yes. Countertop work means your sink is out of service on install day, but this isn't a months-long gut where the kitchen is unusable. It usually lasts 2-3 weeks, excluding hidden issues that could be revealed during installation or teardown.

01

How involved will I be during the design and construction process?

As much as you want. You get one project manager for the whole job and scheduled weekly updates, not just a call when something's wrong.

02

Do you handle both design and construction?

Yes. Our own team designs, fabricates, and installs. Nothing is subcontracted out or handed off between companies.

03

Can you work with an existing design or concept?

Yes. If you already have a layout or design in mind, we'll build to it, or adjust it together during your consultation.

04

How long does a kitchen or bathroom remodel actually take?

It depends on scope — a full kitchen remodel takes longer than a countertop replacement alone. We'll give you a real written timeline for your specific project.

05

Do I need a permit for my remodel?

Permit requirements depend on your project and city — typically required if plumbing or electrical work is involved.
